In the dazzling kingdom of Chandrapur, where the moon twinkled like diamonds in the sky, there lived a joyful princess named Nandini. She had a magical ability: she could understand every animal’s song! From the chirping birds to the roaring lions, her laughter danced through the lush forests and sparkled over the streams, bringing joy to everyone around her.
One sunny morning, something truly strange happened. POOF! Princess Nandini vanished into thin air! Her father, the king, was heartbroken. He sent brave knights and clever scholars on quests all over the kingdom to find her, but they came back empty-handed, their faces filled with worry.
Then, three daring men stepped forward to solve the mystery. The first, a boastful hunter, shouted, “I can track any footprint!” He searched high and low, but after days of wandering, he returned scratching his head. Next came a wise sage, who declared, “I can hear the whispers of the wind!” After a week of meditation, he said, “The princess is beyond the mountains!” But no one knew what that meant.
Finally, a quiet stable boy named Gopal shared his thoughts. “The princess’s favorite white horse is missing too. She always comes home for food!” While the others pondered, Gopal had a plan. He gathered wild clover, the horse’s favorite treat, and laid a trail leading away from the castle, then sat down to wait.
Days passed, and just when hope seemed lost, Gopal heard the joyful CLIP-CLOP, CLIP-CLOP! The white horse galloped back through the palace gates, with Nandini riding proudly! “Where have you been?” the king gasped.
With a gentle smile, Nandini explained, “I helped a hurt mother tiger. The hunters were after her cubs, and I couldn’t let them get hurt!” As she spoke, a shimmering figure appeared — it was Betaal, the spirit of riddles. “Three men searched for her,” it whispered. “The hunter failed, the sage gave only half an answer, but the stable boy succeeded. But tell me, who was at fault?”
Vikram, a wise hero, thought hard and replied, “The princess acted out of kindness, but her disappearance worried her father. The hunter did his job, and the sage tried his best. Yet, the king missed what was happening in his own kingdom and should have known how to protect the creatures within.”
With a swirl of mist, Betaal vanished, leaving the kingdom with a new understanding. They learned that even the smallest details could uncover the biggest truths, and that caring for all the living beings in the kingdom was crucial for everyone’s happiness.
