In a cheerful little village, where the sun painted the fields gold, there lived a kind farmer named Tom. One bright morning, while digging in his turnip patch, his shovel clinked against something hard. With a curious heart, Tom brushed away the dirt and discovered an old, dusty lamp. Excitement bubbled inside him as he rubbed the lamp clean with his shirt. Suddenly, with a flash of shimmering light, a giant, swirling genie appeared!
“THREE WISHES!” the genie boomed, his voice echoing like thunder. Tom’s eyes widened in disbelief. He raced home, cradling the lamp like a precious treasure. Clara, his wife, was waiting at the kitchen table, intrigued by his beaming face. Together, they gazed at the lamp, dreaming of their wishes. Clara suggested wisely, “Let’s wish for something that lasts forever, something no one can take away.”
As they pondered, Tom’s tummy growled, reminding them of the delicious soup simmering on the stove. Without thinking, he exclaimed, “I wish I had a string of sausages for dinner!”
POOF! A shiny, plump string of sausages appeared right on their table. Clara’s eyes widened, but then she frowned. “Tom! You wished for SAUSAGES!”
Just then, frustration flared between them, and in a playful moment, Tom shouted, “I wish those sausages were stuck to your NOSE!”
POOF! The sausages flew through the air and dangled from Clara’s nose!
They stared, wide-eyed, until Clara snorted, making Tom burst into laughter. Soon, their kitchen was filled with giggles, as the sausages swung like a silly pendulum.
For their last wish, Tom gently removed the sausages, and together they sat down to enjoy their magical dinner. With full bellies and happy hearts, they learned that even silly mistakes could bring them closer and that laughter could light up the gloomiest of days.
