In a magical forest bursting with colors and sparkling streams, a sly Fox lived among the tall trees. He was always dreaming up funny tricks, and one sunny day, he had a mischievous idea! With a flourish of his bushy tail, he wrote a fancy invitation on a shiny leaf. “Dear Stork, come to dinner! I’m making my finest soup!” he giggled to himself, picturing the Stork’s surprised face.
When the graceful Stork received the invitation, her feathers fluffed with excitement. “Oh, how lovely! Fox is so kind!” she chirped, preparing for her visit. On the day of the dinner, Stork arrived at Fox's den, her heart fluttering with joy. “Welcome, welcome!” Fox said, grinning like a Cheshire cat. He led Stork to the dinner table, where two wide, flat bowls sparkled under the golden sun.
With a flick of his paw, Fox slurped his soup, finishing it in a flash. “Delicious!” he exclaimed, licking his lips. But poor Stork! She bent her long neck down, trying to sip, but all she could do was make a clacking sound. Fox chuckled softly, pretending to care. As she left, Stork felt disappointed but hatched a clever plan.
The following week, she invited Fox to dinner at her home. When the day came, Fox's tummy rumbled with excitement as he dashed to Stork's nest. There, she greeted him warmly and presented two tall, narrow jars with slim necks. Fox's eyes widened in confusion. “What’s this?” he wondered, scratching his head.
Stork dipped her beak into a jar and savored the delicious food inside. SLURP! She munched with delight, her eyes shining. But poor Fox couldn’t fit his snout in! He twisted and turned, trying everything he could, yet only the delightful smells danced in the air. Stork smiled gently and finished her meal, looking at Fox with kindness.
As he trudged home, Fox's heart sank. He realized that his sneaky trick had come back to teach him a lesson, one that would linger in his thoughts. From then on, Fox promised himself to be kinder and to share smiles instead of tricks.
