In the lively city of Benares, excitement danced in the air like butterflies. A wealthy family had chosen a lovely girl from a nearby village to be their son's bride. She was as kind as a spring breeze, as wise as an old tree, and as beautiful as the brightest flower. Everyone buzzed with joy, but one person was not smiling— the astrological priest, his frown as dark as a storm cloud.
“WHOOOOSH!” he cried, unfurling his enormous star charts like a magical tapestry. With a voice low and booming, he declared, “You’ve picked the absolute WORST day for a wedding!” The family gasped, their faces turning pale like cotton candy. Forgetting all the lovely things about their bride, they decided to cancel the wedding.
Back in her village, the bride's family waited, their hearts sinking with confusion. Hours passed, and when no groom arrived, they bravely arranged for her to marry a kind-hearted man who truly appreciated her spirit.
The very next morning, the astrological priest skipped to the village, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “The stars are perfect now!” he chirped. The wealthy family rushed to reclaim their bride, but when they arrived, they learned she was already married!
Voices rose like thunder as the two families argued. Just then, a wise man with a long, flowing beard wandered by, shaking his head. “Oh dear folks! You let the stars blind you to the treasure before you. The real magic lies in this bride’s heart!”
As he walked away, the families stood in silence. A soft breeze rustled the leaves, reminding them that true happiness comes from love and kindness, not from the twinkling stars above. And so, they learned to cherish the beautiful hearts around them, realizing the brightest treasures are often the ones we hold dear.
