Once upon a time, in a snug little cottage at the edge of a sparkling, frozen forest, lived a kind woodcutter and his gentle wife. One chilly winter evening, as they huddled by the crackling fire, they heard a soft, twinkling sound outside. Curious, they stepped into the snowy night and gasped in delight! There, wrapped in a blanket that shimmered like the night sky, lay a baby covered in tiny, twinkling stars. With hearts bursting with love, they brought the baby inside and named him the Star Child.
As the Star Child grew, he became the most beautiful boy anyone had ever seen, with sparkling eyes and a dazzling smile. But deep down, he knew he was special, and this made him proud and unkind. He would kick the old beggars who came to their door, shout at the lame boy playing on the hill, and catch frogs just to watch them struggle. The other children admired his beauty, thinking that was all that mattered.
One sunny spring morning, a ragged, dirty woman approached the cottage, her eyes sparkling with love and sorrow. “That is my child! I know him by the mark on his wrist!” she said. The Star Child sneered, “You’re ugly and dirty! You can’t be my mother!” The moment he turned away, a loud CRACK echoed through the air! His beautiful face twisted into something monstrous, with ugly welts and scales sprouting all over.
Heart racing, he ran to the well, where he gasped in horror at the creature staring back at him. Lost and alone, the Star Child wandered the world, knocking on doors that slammed shut in his face. He felt the cold sting of rejection, just as he had treated others.
Years passed, and one hot summer day, he found himself by a dusty road. There sat the same ragged woman—his mother! With tears in his eyes, he fell to her feet in the mud, begging for forgiveness. “Please, I’m sorry!” he cried. To his amazement, she knelt and wrapped her arms around him. “I forgive you, my child,” she whispered.
A warm light enveloped them, and as the Star Child stood, his face transformed back to its original beauty. But now, something had changed. Gazing into her loving eyes, he felt kindness bloom in his heart. From that day on, the Star Child shared his newfound beauty with the world, spreading joy and compassion wherever he went, lighting up the lives of everyone around him. He learned that true beauty comes from within, shining brighter than the brightest star.
