The Three Little Wishes

Magical Fairy Tales

A magical fairy tale filled with enchantment, bravery, and a lesson that sparkles forever.

Once upon a time, a weary soldier wandered down a winding road, his old boots scuffing against the dirt. He longed for peace after leaving the clamor of battle behind. As the sun dipped low, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple, he came upon an enchanted crossroads where a tiny witch bustled about. Her coat was as bright as a rainbow, and her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Ah, brave soldier!” she chirped. “I have a magical task for you!”

Intrigued, the soldier leaned closer as the witch pointed to a great oak tree. “Inside, you’ll find three magical dogs. If you can place them on my blue apron, you can take home treasure galore! But I only want the old tinder box at the bottom.” Excitement bubbled in the soldier’s heart as he stepped into the whispering oak.

In the first room, a dog with cartwheel-sized eyes wagged its tail wildly. With a gentle nudge, he placed it on the apron. Clink! Clink! Clink! Copper coins tumbled into his knapsack! In the second room, a dog with mill-wheel eyes awaited. The soldier quickly lifted it onto the apron, and clink! Clink! Clink! Silver coins followed!

Finally, in the last room, a giant dog with castle-like eyes stood proudly. With all his strength, he lifted it onto the apron, and clink! Clink! Clink! Gold coins poured out, glistening like stars!

Grinning from ear to ear, he handed the witch the old tinder box. “What will you do with this?” he asked, but she simply smiled and vanished, leaving him with questions.

The soldier shared his riches with townsfolk and children, filling their lives with joy. But soon, his pockets were empty, and his heart felt heavy. On a chilly night, he struck the tinder box, and the cartwheel-eyed dog appeared. “What does my master wish?” it asked. He thought hard and said, “I wish for money!” With a magical woof, coins fell from the sky, making him rich again.

He learned to summon the other dogs too, commanding riches and gifts. Yet, as he watched his kingdom, he remembered the peace he yearned for. So, he wished for laughter and friendship instead of gold. The wise dogs wagged their tails and spread magic throughout the land, filling it with joy.

As the sun rose over the kingdom, it cast its warm glow on a place filled with laughter and love. The soldier realized that his greatest treasure was the happiness he shared with others, filling his heart with a joy that no amount of gold could ever bring.

The Moral of the Story
