Once upon a time, in a magical kingdom, there lived a wild boar so fierce that it sent everyone running in fright! With every stomp of its enormous hooves, it crushed gardens and fences, leaving the villagers trembling in fear. The wise king, worried for his people, announced a grand challenge: “Brave hearts, whoever defeats this terrible beast shall win my daughter’s hand and the crown!”
Two brothers heard the king’s call. The elder brother was boastful and proud, always talking about his strength. The younger brother was gentle and kind, with a brave heart despite his smaller size. Together, they set off into the dark, whispering forest where the wild boar roamed.
Deep in the woods, they met a tiny old man with a long, white beard that danced in the breeze. “Take this magical spear!” he said with a twinkle in his eye, handing the younger brother a shimmering spear that sparkled like the night sky. “With this, you will triumph!”
With the magical spear in hand, the younger brother ventured toward the heart of the forest, hearing the boar stomp and snort. He stood tall, aimed the spear, and shouted, “For my kingdom!” THWACK! The spear struck true, and the wild boar fell with a mighty crash!
Joy filled his heart as he sang a happy tune while carrying the boar home. But lurking near the bridge was his jealous elder brother, darkness swirling in his heart. With a wicked strike, he knocked his brother down, burying him beneath the bridge, then gleefully claimed the boar for himself.
Years passed, and the secret of the younger brother lay hidden. One sunny day, a cheerful shepherd wandered by the bridge and spotted something glimmering in the mud. It was a small, smooth bone! He carved it into a flute and, to his amazement, it began to sing a beautiful melody all on its own: “My brother struck me down and stole my glory, buried me here to stay, but the king shall know the truth today!”
The shepherd, wide-eyed with wonder, rushed to the castle and shared the magical song with the king. The elder brother turned pale, fear gripping him like a storm. Soldiers quickly dug beneath the bridge, and soon the truth was uncovered. The younger brother’s remains were found, and the kingdom honored him with a grand ceremony, celebrating his bravery.
As the kingdom mourned, the singing flute grew quiet, its story finally told. The truth swept through the land like a gentle breeze, bringing light and hope after a long shadow.
