Under the watchful gaze of a great old peepul tree, the air sparkled with magic one warm evening. Prince Rohit, with dreams of love dancing in his heart, gazed at the stars and thought of Sunita, the cheerful daughter of the palace washerman. Her laughter brightened even the gloomiest days, and Rohit wanted nothing more than to win her heart. But trouble was brewing! Rohit’s best friend, Amit, secretly admired Sunita too. Yet, being a true friend, Amit decided to help Rohit.
In a moment of desperation beneath the peepul tree, Rohit knelt before the fierce goddess Kali. “If I can marry Sunita, I will sacrifice myself on the next full moon night!” he declared, his heart pounding with fear. The joyous news spread through the palace, and laughter filled every corner. Rohit and Sunita danced under the moonlight, sharing sweet stories, until the fateful night approached.
As the full moon rose, a shadow fell over their happiness. Rohit slipped away to the temple, gripping a sacred sword. CLANG! The sound echoed like thunder, and darkness shrouded the temple. Amit, searching for his friend, found Rohit lying still. Filled with sorrow, he grasped the sword and followed Rohit’s path. Soon, heartbroken Sunita rushed in, but her love led her to the same choice.
Suddenly, a bright light filled the temple! The goddess Kali, touched by their love, accidentally switched their heads! Rohit's head was atop Amit's body, and Amit's head rested on Rohit’s shoulders. Sunita stood puzzled, looking at the two.
The peepul tree whispered to Vikram, who had been watching all along. “Who is Sunita’s true husband?” he wondered, pondering deeply. “The one with Rohit's head,” he said at last, for it held all the memories of love.
As the stars twinkled brightly above, the three friends awoke to a new beginning, their hearts forever intertwined, and their identities now woven together in the magic of love.
