Once upon a time, in a kingdom where sparkling lakes twinkled like stars and hills rolled like soft green waves, there lived a young prince named Ravi. Adorned in a golden crown and robes that shimmered brighter than the sun, he resided in a grand palace made of shining marble, filled with laughter, feasts, and beautiful music. But deep inside, Ravi felt a strange emptiness, much like a balloon that had lost its air.
One day, curious whispers reached his ears about a holy man who lived under a mighty mango tree on the edge of an enchanted forest. It was said he had no treasures, yet people came from far and wide to bask in his warm smile and peaceful presence. Intrigued, Ravi knew he had to meet this man.
The next morning, he rode his gleaming white horse into the forest, surrounded by singing birds and dancing flowers. But the beauty around him faded as his mind raced with thoughts of his grand palace and the emptiness that clung to his heart. After a winding journey, he finally reached the mango tree, where the holy man sat with twinkling eyes that sparkled like the stars.
“Hello, young prince,” the holy man greeted, his voice soothing like a warm hug. “What brings you here?”
“I have everything,” Ravi replied, “yet I feel so empty. You own nothing, yet you seem so happy. How is that possible?”
The holy man chuckled, pointing to the nearby river that sparkled in the sunlight. “Do you see that river?” he asked. “And hear the sweet birds singing?”
“Yes, but I can see and hear all this from my palace,” Ravi said impatiently.
“Can you really?” the holy man raised an eyebrow. “When did you last stop to enjoy the world around you?”
Ravi paused, realizing he couldn’t remember the last time he listened to a bird or felt the warm breeze on his cheeks. Determined to find out, he spent the afternoon beneath the mango tree. With his eyes closed, he listened closely. He heard three different birds singing their joyful melodies and watched the river change colors like a magical rainbow.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in flames of orange and purple, Ravi rode home slowly. This time, he noticed the vibrant flowers, the laughter of children, and the twinkling stars that winked at him. His heart felt lighter than ever, overflowing with a joy he had never known.
From that day on, the prince embraced the beauty around him. Each moment turned into a precious treasure, and Ravi's heart finally felt full, as he discovered true happiness in the world that had always been waiting for him.
