Once upon a time, in a bright, sunny meadow where wildflowers danced and bees buzzed like happy little musicians, a friendly Shepherd was guiding his fluffy flock of Sheep. The Sheep munched on the sweet green grass, their tails wagging like tiny flags in the breeze. But suddenly, something strange caught the Shepherd's eye—a plump Pig at the edge of the field, gobbling clover as if it were the tastiest cake!
“Oh dear!” thought the Shepherd, rushing over. “This Pig is far from home!” With a quick swoop, he lifted the jolly Pig under his arm and began to march toward the market. But the Pig was not happy at all! He let out a squeal so loud that it echoed through the trees like a thunderstorm! He kicked and wriggled like a slippery fish.
The Sheep, startled by the noise, looked on in astonishment. One brave Sheep trotted closer and called out, “Why are you making such a fuss? The Shepherd takes us away all the time, and we don’t squeal like that!”
“But you don’t understand!” squealed the Pig, his eyes wide. “When he catches you, he takes your wool! You grow it back and return to the meadow. It’s annoying, but it’s not the end of the world!”
The Sheep blinked, thinking hard. Just then, the Pig twisted and squealed again, “What does he want from me? My fabulous singing voice? My charming personality?” With each word, his voice grew louder, and the Sheep began to realize how serious this was for their friend.
As the Shepherd carried the Pig farther away, the Sheep watched, their hearts softening. They understood that while they faced a gentle journey, the Pig was on a much scarier path. The Pig continued to squeal, reminding himself he was special too. Though the road to the market felt long and winding, deep down, he knew he had to be brave, even when it felt like hope was slipping away.
And while the Sheep would soon return to their meadow, the Pig marched on with courage, ready to face whatever awaited him in the bustling market, wool or no wool.
