Once upon a time, by the shimmering waters of the mighty Ganges, lived a wise sage named Yadnyavalkya. One sunny morning, while he enjoyed a refreshing bath, a tiny mouse zipped from the sky and landed right in his hands! Looking up, the sage noticed a sharp-beaked hawk swooping down, ready for a tasty meal. "Don't worry, little one," he whispered as he cradled the trembling mouse. With a flick of his wrist and a sprinkle of magic, he transformed the mouse into a lovely girl with sparkling eyes! The sage took her home, and he and his wife welcomed her with open arms. They named her Lila, and she filled their lives with laughter.
As Lila grew, her parents decided she needed a special husband. One day, her mother exclaimed, "Lila deserves the best in the world!" The sage nodded and, with a twirl of his fingers, called upon the blazing Sun. The Sun appeared, shining brighter than a thousand fireflies! But Lila frowned. "He’s too hot! My home would turn into a furnace!" Undeterred, her father asked the Sun, "Who is greater than you?" The Sun sighed, "The Cloud King can cover me."
With a mighty poof, the Cloud King appeared, dark and stormy. But Lila wrinkled her nose. "Too cold and gloomy!" Scratching his head, the sage inquired, "Who is more powerful than you?" "The Wind Lord," the Cloud King replied. Suddenly, the Wind whooshed in, swirling and howling like a wild beast! Lila shook her head again. "Too wild! He can’t stay still!"
Now puzzled, the sage asked the Wind, "Who is stronger than you?" The Mountain King emerged, rumbling like thunder, but Lila frowned, "Too stiff and boring!" The sage scratched his chin, desperate to help. "Who is even mightier?" The Mountain whispered, "The King of Mice. His tiny teeth drill holes through me every day."
Eager to assist his precious daughter, the sage called forth the Mouse King. The moment Lila saw him, her heart danced with joy. "Father, this is the one!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining brighter than stars!
Understanding filled the sage’s heart. With a wave of his hand, he transformed Lila back into a beautiful mouse. They were married under the great banyan tree, surrounded by happy hermits cheering and celebrating. Lila had found her true love, and together they brought joy and warmth to all who knew them.
