In a magical castle called Ratnagarh, thick mist curled around the ancient stones, whispering secrets from long ago. Inside this grand palace lived a curious young prince named Arjun, who was always on the lookout for adventure. One day, while exploring a shadowy corner of the castle, he stumbled upon a dusty old mirror hidden beneath cobwebs.
With excitement bubbling in his heart, Arjun wiped the glass clean and boldly asked, “What is my greatest flaw?” Suddenly, the mirror sparkled and shimmered like a rainbow, revealing surprising images! He saw himself at a grand feast, surrounded by delicious treats, while hungry servants looked on with sad eyes. Then, the scene shifted to a little girl crying at the castle gate as he walked right past her. Finally, he caught a glimpse of himself smiling widely, accepting praises from his people, but his smile looked almost too big, as if he had forgotten to be humble.
Shocked, Arjun stumbled back, realizing he had never noticed how selfish he had been. He rushed to tell his father, the king. But when the king heard this, he turned as red as a ripe tomato! “DESTROY THAT MIRROR!” he bellowed, trembling with fury. “No object in my palace will dare tell my son he is imperfect!”
But the wise queen stepped forward, her voice soft like a gentle breeze. “If we destroy the mirror, we’ll lose our son’s only honest friend.” The chief minister nodded in agreement. But the king, filled with pride, locked the mirror away in a dark vault.
Years flew by, and King Arjun ruled without the mirror’s truth. His kingdom grew gloomy, filled with whispers of fear rather than laughter. Ministers praised him, but their words felt empty. One day, as he roamed the echoing halls searching for the lost mirror, a thought sparkled in his mind like a shooting star—perhaps the sadness wasn’t from the mirror, but from not facing the truth.
With newfound wisdom, King Arjun decided to listen to his people. He welcomed their honest voices, and slowly, the sun broke through the clouds. Laughter returned to Ratnagarh, and colors began to dance through the kingdom once more, brighter than ever before.
