Once upon a time, a brave soldier trudged home down a dusty road, dreaming of grand adventures. One day, he stumbled upon a wrinkled old witch with a smile that twisted like a riddle. “I know a secret,” she whispered, her eyes sparkling like stars. “There’s a magical hollow tree nearby, filled with treasures that will leave you breathless! But first, you must find my old tinderbox hidden deep inside.” Excited and curious, the soldier agreed.
He soon discovered the tree, its gnarled trunk standing tall like a sleeping giant. Heart pounding, he climbed down into the cool, shadowy depths. There, he found three amazing underground rooms, each holding a giant dog with the biggest eyes he had ever seen! The first dog’s eyes were as big as teacups, the second’s as huge as mill wheels, and the last’s as enormous as castle towers! The witch had given the soldier a magical apron, which calmed the dogs as if they were purring kittens.
Quickly, he filled his pockets with shimmering copper, sparkling silver, and glistening gold until they bulged! But he didn’t forget the old tinderbox as he climbed back up. Back in the city, the soldier shared his treasures, filling the streets with laughter and joy. Yet, when the last coin slipped from his fingers, poof! His friends vanished like morning fog, leaving him alone and sad.
In desperation, he struck the tinderbox. With a flash, the first dog appeared, wagging its tail excitedly! With a single strike, he had feasts. Two strikes brought mountains of treasure, and three summoned the last dog, showing him the magic of his wishes. One day, he wished to meet a beautiful sleeping princess. The dogs gently carried her to him, and they laughed together until dawn.
But soon, the wicked king learned of the soldier’s magic and imprisoned him in a dark tower! With a noose around his neck, the soldier bravely said, “Just one more smoke.” He struck the tinderbox—once, twice, THREE TIMES! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The three gigantic dogs crashed through the door, scattering the guards like leaves in a whirlwind.
With joyful barks, they freed the soldier! The princess cheered, and together they escaped, leaving the cruel king behind. The soldier became a hero and eventually a king, with the three magical dogs by his side. As they feasted, their enormous eyes sparkled with love, reminding everyone that the greatest treasures come from embracing the magic in every moment.
