In the vibrant city of Benares, where the sun danced on the shimmering river and colorful stalls bustled with laughter, there lived a kind king. One sunny day, he wandered into the magical forest nearby. As he walked, a sweet melody floated through the trees, leading him to a lovely young woman gathering firewood. Her laughter sparkled like sunlight, and the king was enchanted! Before he left, he gifted her his shimmering signet ring, saying, “If you have a girl, let her wear this ring and live a wonderful life. If it’s a boy, bring him to me.”
Not long after, a joyful baby boy was born! But as he grew, the other children teased him, chanting, “No-father! No-father!” Each night, he returned home with tears, but his mother would hug him tight and whisper, “You are special, my dear. One day, the truth will shine bright.”
One brave afternoon, the boy, now tall and strong, declared, “Mother, let’s go to Benares! I want to meet my father!” With hope fluttering in their hearts, they set off for the grand palace. Upon arrival, the royal hall sparkled with golden chandeliers and soft whispers of history. The mother raised her son proudly, exclaiming, “This is your son, my king!” But the king, looking uneasy, replied, “I don’t know this woman or that boy!”
The room filled with silence. The mother knew she had no proof but her shining ring. Gathering her courage, she proclaimed, “If he is truly your son, may he float in the air! If not, let him fall!” With a deep breath, she tossed her son into the air!
Gasps echoed through the hall as magic unfolded! Instead of falling, the boy floated gracefully, cross-legged and calm, as if the sky itself cradled him. “Father,” he said softly, “you care for your horses, yet turn away from your own son. Please, see what is true.”
Tears welled in the king's eyes as he reached out, longing for the son he had missed for so long. Slowly, the boy floated down into his father’s arms. In that moment, the king understood the power of love and acceptance. He declared the boy his crown prince and named his mother the first queen.
As the years passed, the boy grew into a wise king, taking the name "King No-father" to remind everyone that every heart deserves respect, no matter where it comes from. The kingdom blossomed with compassion and understanding, and truth soared like a beautiful bird, shining brightly for all to see.
