Once upon a time, in a blossoming meadow filled with shimmering flowers, there lived a Stork named Stella. With her long, slender legs and a beak that sparkled like sunlit drops of dew, she loved to glide through the bright blue sky. One sunny day, Stella decided to land beside a boisterous flock of Cranes who were flapping their wings and dancing in the air. They giggled and squabbled as they searched for tasty treats. Although they were lively and fun, a tiny flutter of worry tickled Stella's heart. She had seen the Cranes sneak snacks from picnics and snatch berries from bushes when no one was watching. Was it right to be around them?
Still, she couldn't resist their playful energy and stayed, hoping their mischief wouldn’t rub off on her. The next morning, as the golden sun peeked over the hills, Clive, the loudest Crane, spotted a nearby field filled with shiny grains that sparkled like jewels. “Breakfast time!” he squawked, leading the flock down to feast on the farmer’s seeds.
Stella hesitated, her heart thumping like a drum. She knew those grains weren’t meant for them, but the excitement of the Cranes made her want to join in just this once. With a nervous flutter, she found herself pecking at the seeds alongside them. Suddenly, a dark shadow loomed overhead! The farmer burst into the field with a mighty net! “Oh no!” cried Stella, realizing too late the trouble she was in.
The Cranes squawked and flapped their wings, trying to escape, but the farmer’s net swooped down and captured them all. Stella panicked and pleaded, “Please, kind farmer, let me go! I’m just a Stork!” The farmer looked at her with wise eyes and shook his head. “But you chose to be here with these mischievous birds.”
As the farmer released her, Stella felt her heart sink. She realized that her choice to join the Cranes had led her into trouble. With a heavy heart, she spread her wings and soared high above the meadow, leaving the flock behind. As she flew into the endless sky, she promised herself to choose her friends wisely, knowing that her choices would guide her on the right path.
