The Grandmother Who Knew Best

Magical Fairy Tales

A magical fairy tale filled with enchantment, bravery, and a lesson that sparkles forever.

Once upon a time in a snug little village, there lived a wise old grandmother with a sparkling secret. The townsfolk often told tales of Little Red Riding Hood and the sneaky wolf, but they didn’t know what happened next! While everyone talked and laughed by the warm fire, Grandmother was hiding in her pantry, listening closely. She made sure she would never let a wolf trick her again!

The very next morning, she called for the strong woodcutter. With BANG! BANG! BANG!, he fastened the door with iron bolts and drilled a tiny peephole right at eye level. Grandmother smiled, placing her trusty heavy iron skillet beside her bed. In her kitchen, a giant pot of water bubbled merrily on the stove, always ready for action! But Grandmother had one more clever and magical idea.

In her garden, she dug a deep, dark pit and covered it with sticks. Then she hung a string of delicious sausages leading right to the edge of the pit. “Let them come,” she whispered, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

One chilly morning, there was a knock at the door. “It is your granddaughter!” sang a voice sweet as candy. Grandmother peeked through the peephole, and her heart raced when she spotted a grey, pointy ear! “My granddaughter doesn’t have ears like that!” she said, her mind racing.

“Just wait a moment, dear!” she called, rushing to the bubbling pot. With a mighty heave, she climbed to the upper window and poured the hot water down the chimney. “AWOOOOOO!” howled the wolf as he dashed away, faster than lightning!

But the story didn’t end there! In spring, a hungry wolf, lured by the magical sausages, crunched his way closer and closer. SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! Up to the pit he went, and with a loud WHOOOOSH! down he fell! Grandmother rang her bell, and the woodcutter came rushing back to help. “All taken care of!” she chuckled, her eyes sparkling with joy.

Later that day, Little Red Riding Hood arrived for her visit. She found Grandmother happily knitting in her cozy armchair. “Any trouble this week, Grandmother?” she asked, a bit worried. Grandmother smiled gently. “Nothing at all, dear. Come in and have some cake!”

In her warm little home, Grandmother showed that even the quietest can be clever, and a little preparation can keep big troubles far away.
