The Goblin's Choice

Magical Fairy Tales

A magical fairy tale filled with enchantment, bravery, and a lesson that sparkles forever.

In a lively little town, laughter filled the air, and a cozy grocer's shop sat at the end of a narrow street. Above the shop lived a lonely student in a tiny, cold room. His only warmth came from the glow of his imagination, which danced like fireflies as he read enchanting tales. But down below, snuggled between bags of flour, lived a cheerful goblin named Wizzle. Wizzle was small and sprightly, with twinkling eyes and an enormous appetite that made everyone chuckle. Every Christmas, the kind grocer would leave him a big bowl of warm porridge topped with golden butter, and oh, how Wizzle adored that porridge!

As the nights grew darker and colder, Wizzle’s curiosity bubbled like a cauldron. He wondered about the magical things happening upstairs, where the air smelled of stories and adventure. One evening, he tiptoed up the creaky stairs and peeked through the keyhole. What a sight he saw! The student was reading aloud, and a magnificent tree of shimmering light burst from the pages, its branches dancing to a sweet melody. Wizzle’s heart raced with excitement—he had never seen anything so magical!

Night after night, Wizzle returned to the keyhole, yearning to join the student’s world. But one fateful night, disaster struck! A loud CRASH! echoed as a fire erupted in a nearby building, flames licking dangerously close to the grocer's roof. People rushed around in panic, and Wizzle’s heart thumped wildly. Without hesitation, he dashed upstairs, snatched the student’s precious poetry book, and clutched it tightly.

When the fire was out and the danger passed, Wizzle stood proudly in the street, trembling but brave. The student emerged, wide-eyed and grateful, and Wizzle carefully returned the book to its shelf, a treasured gift saved. That night, snuggled back in his cozy spot, Wizzle realized he could cherish the magic of the student’s world without leaving his own. As he savored his warm bowl of porridge the next morning, his heart was full, knowing that beauty could fill him up just like his beloved porridge.
