Once upon a time, in a sparkling magical forest filled with shimmering fireflies and towering trees, six joyful frogs leaped along a sunny path. They sang delightful songs and played hopscotch by the glittering streams. But suddenly, with a loud CRACK! the ground beneath them crumbled like a cookie, and Tilly and Benny fell into a deep, dark pit! THUD! THUD!
The four frogs above peered over the edge, their hearts racing. The pit was shadowy and frightening, and Tilly and Benny looked like tiny green dots far below, surrounded by smooth, slippery walls that seemed to stretch endlessly. “Oh no! There’s no way out!” croaked Freddie, the biggest frog. The others nodded, their big eyes wide with worry. “Stop trying! You’ll NEVER get out! It’s impossible!” they called down.
But Tilly and Benny didn’t give up. With determined smiles, they began to JUMP. BOING! BOING! Each leap sent them bouncing off the rocky walls, their hearts full of hope. “GIVE UP! You’re just wasting your energy!” yelled Freddie, but Tilly and Benny kept jumping.
After a while, Benny felt tired and discouraged. Maybe they were right, he thought. He lay down and sighed, feeling sad. But not Tilly! “I can’t stop now!” she thought, her spirit shining as bright as the sun. With each jump, she soared higher. The walls were slippery, and she sometimes slid back down, but she never lost her spark.
Then, with one mighty BOING!, Tilly jumped higher than ever before! CRASH! She clawed at the edge and, with a final push, she flopped onto solid ground, gasping for breath. The other frogs stared in disbelief. “Didn’t you HEAR us?! We told you to STOP!” they exclaimed, puzzled. Tilly smiled and waved, hopping with excitement.
Then they realized: Tilly was deaf and thought they were cheering her on! Every shout had made her jump even harder! That day, the frogs learned that words can lift each other up. They promised to always encourage one another, knowing a little kindness could create the biggest leaps of all. The magical forest rang with laughter, as the frogs hopped happily together, making their own joyful song.
