In a shimmering palace where moonbeams danced like fairies on golden walls, there lived a tiny, sparkling white flea named Mandavisarpini. She snuggled into the cozy folds of the king's soft bed, surrounded by silk sheets that glimmered like stars in the night sky. As the palace grew quiet and the king drifted into a peaceful slumber, Mandavisarpini would tiptoe out, her heart fluttering with excitement, ready to sip a little of the king’s royal blood. She was so gentle that the king never even knew she was there. Life was simply perfect!
One magical evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, a plump and curious bug buzzed in through an open window. "Wow! What a magnificent place!" he exclaimed, landing right on the king's fluffy pillow. "I must taste that delicious royal blood!"
Suddenly, Mandavisarpini appeared, her tiny voice filled with authority. "Stop right there! This is my home!" The bug, with a cheeky grin, bowed low. "Dear Madam Flea, don’t you want to share? Just one tiny taste won’t hurt! Surely, the king has enough for both of us!"
Mandavisarpini thought for a moment. Perhaps she was being a little too strict? "All right," she said, "but you must promise to follow my rules. Wait until the king is sound asleep, and let me feed first."
"On my honor!" proclaimed the bug, his eyes sparkling with mischief. The king soon returned, yawning as he settled into bed. Mandavisarpini nestled close, sensing his deep, slow breaths. But the greedy bug couldn’t wait! His little legs trembled with excitement as he thought, “He’s almost asleep! That’s close enough!”
With a quick zap, he darted from his hiding place and bit down hard! “OW!” roared the king, jumping up in surprise. “GUARDS! Find that pesky intruder!” The bug scurried away, vanishing into the shadows.
The guards rushed in, their lanterns swaying, searching every corner of the royal bed. They soon found Mandavisarpini all alone, and with one swift move, they squished her without a second thought. “No more pesky bugs!” they declared, leaving the palace quiet once more.
Meanwhile, the greedy bug reveled in his victory, enjoying a feast of sweet royal blood. Unbeknownst to him, the tiny flea had learned an important lesson about trust and the tricky nature of friendship, while the palace returned to its peaceful slumber.
