Once upon a time, in a bright and sunny village beside a sparkling blue sea, there lived a kind fisherman named Old Hassan. Every day, he cast his net into the shimmering waves, grateful for whatever treasure the ocean would send his way. Some days, his nets were filled with shiny fish that fed his family, while other days, he pulled up only old boots and tangled seaweed.
One hot afternoon, Hassan felt a strong tug on his net that almost tipped his little boat over. “Could it be a whale?” he wondered, his eyes sparkling with excitement. But when he pulled the net aboard, he found not a whale but a dusty brass bottle, sealed tight with wax and coated in barnacles. With a curious smile, he pried the seal open. Suddenly, a loud BOOOOM echoed across the water as a whirlwind of violet smoke exploded from the bottle, swirling into the shape of a giant Jinn, towering over Hassan with fiery eyes and hands like boulders!
“FREEDOM!” the Jinn bellowed, shaking the boat. Then, with a fierce grin, he looked down at the tiny fisherman and said, “And now, I will eat you!”
Hassan's heart raced, but he took a deep breath and replied, “But I set you free! Shouldn’t you be thankful?” The Jinn’s voice rumbled like thunder. “I promised to grant wishes, but after so long in darkness, I vowed to destroy my rescuer!”
Thinking quickly, Hassan said, “I find it hard to believe a giant like you could fit in such a tiny bottle!”
“IMPOSSIBLE?” roared the Jinn. “I will SHOW you!” In a flash, the Jinn transformed into a cloud of smoke and swirled back into the bottle with a whoosh. Quick as a wink, Hassan slammed the lid shut and held it high above the water, grinning. “Now, shall we make a better plan?”
Realizing he had been outsmarted, the Jinn agreed to grant Hassan a magical lake full of fish that would never run out. With a twinkle in his eye, Hassan tossed the bottle back into the sea, where it would stay forever.
From that day on, Hassan's nets were always overflowing with fish, and he learned that sometimes, a clever mind can be mightier than brute strength.
