In the ancient kingdom of Benares, where the river twisted playfully like a happy snake, a kind man walked along the banks, able to understand the whispers of animals. One sunny morning, as he strolled with his friends, excitement bubbled in the air. Suddenly, there was a loud SPLASH! A group of fishermen had thrown their heavy nets into the shimmering water, pulling with all their strength.
Curious, the adviser leaned closer and spotted two fish swimming side by side. One was a mighty fish with glimmering scales, while his wife sparkled like the sun, her fins fluttering gracefully. But oh dear! The brave husband was so entranced by his wife’s beauty that he forgot to pay attention! He swam straight into the fishermen's trap without a clue.
Just then, the wife flickered her fins in alarm, but it was too late! The fishermen yanked the big fish out of the water, and he flopped and gasped for air. With all his might, he cried, "My wife! I love her more than anything!" The adviser felt a twinge of sorrow for the foolish fish. He knew that this fish was caught in a snarl of his own wishes and needed help.
“Dear fishermen,” the adviser said, “would you let me take this fish today?” They nodded, curious about his plan. Gently, he lifted the flailing fish and whispered, “If I hadn’t come, you would have been cooked! Your love for your wife led you into danger. Remember this moment!”
Stunned by the adviser's caring words, the fish paused and gazed into his wise eyes. A light flickered in his heart. With a grateful flip of his tail, he slipped back into the river, vanishing into the sparkling depths.
The adviser smiled as the ripples danced away, knowing that sometimes a little wisdom could help even the most tangled hearts find their way back to safety.
