In a magical forest where trees whispered secrets and sunlight danced like fairies, there lived a wise old deer named Guru. He was a clever protector, always finding ways to keep his friends safe from sneaky hunters. One sunny morning, Guru’s sister brought her lively little fawn, Kiran, to meet him. Kiran’s bright eyes sparkled with curiosity, and he was eager to learn from his wise uncle.
While other young deer played games in the meadows, Kiran listened intently as Guru shared his secret skills. “Always watch the trees and listen closely,” Guru would say, teaching Kiran about the signs of danger. Kiran practiced every lesson with joy, dreaming of becoming as wise as Guru one day.
But one fateful afternoon, as Kiran explored the forest, he heard a dreadful SNAP! A hunter's trap had clamped down on his leg! With a heart racing like a drum, Kiran cried out, but his friends dashed away in fright, and his mother hurried to find Guru. “Help him, please!” she pleaded, her voice shaking with worry.
Guru looked calm and smiled gently. “Do not fear. Kiran knows what to do.” Alone in the forest, Kiran took a deep breath and recalled Guru’s lesson about playing dead. He dug softly with his hooves, making a cozy bed of leaves, then relaxed every muscle, pretending to be a deer that had long since lain still.
The next morning, heavy footsteps approached, and Kiran’s heart thudded like thunder. The hunter appeared, eyes scanning for his prize. Kiran lay completely still, a part of the forest itself. The hunter scratched his head in confusion. “What a strange sight,” he muttered, looking at the ‘dead’ fawn. “This one is no good.” With a shrug, he walked away, leaving Kiran behind.
In a flash, Kiran sprang up like a blooming flower! He dashed through the trees, weaving and leaping, until he burst into the clearing where his family waited. They cheered with joy, their eyes sparkling with relief. Guru smiled, warmth filling his heart. “You did it, Kiran!” he praised, pride shining in his gaze.
Kiran had learned that patience and care made him wise enough to escape danger, just like magic in the enchanted forest.
