Once upon a time, in a cheerful village surrounded by rolling green hills and tall, swaying trees, there lived a Farmer named Ben. Farmer Ben was strong, with a twinkling eye and a heart full of dreams. One bright morning, after days of heavy rain, he decided to take his lovely wagon full of fresh, colorful vegetables to the market. The sun peeked out from fluffy clouds, shining golden rays on the muddy road ahead.
As Farmer Ben trotted down the winding path, the mud squelched and squished beneath the wagon wheels, like a giant sticky monster trying to hold them back. The brave horses strained forward, splashing through puddles, but soon the wagon grew heavier and heavier. Suddenly, with a loud *squelch*, one of the wagon’s wheels fell into a deep, muddy pit, sinking like it was taking a long, relaxing bath! The horses stopped and snorted in surprise, and Farmer Ben’s heart sank too.
“Oh no! What will I do?” he cried, gazing up at the vast blue sky. “Help! Mighty Hercules, please save me!”
To his astonishment, the clouds rumbled, and a voice boomed, “Put your shoulder to the wheel!” Farmer Ben blinked in surprise. “What?” he wondered, scratching his head. “I thought you’d swoop down and lift me up!”
“Push!” the voice echoed. “Get to work! Do you expect the wagon to fly away while you just stand there?”
Feeling a little silly but determined, Farmer Ben took a deep breath. He dug his boots into the mud, planted his feet firmly, and placed his shoulder against the stubborn wheel. “Come on, friends!” he shouted to his horses. “We can do this!”
The horses nodded, pulling with all their might. Farmer Ben pushed harder, his face turning red. Just when he thought all was lost, *POP!* The wheel broke free from the mud with a loud squelch! The wagon jolted forward, the horses cheered, and the sun shone brighter than ever!
With a joyful laugh, Farmer Ben jumped back into his seat, muddy but thrilled. He felt wiser now, knowing that the magic of getting unstuck came from his own strength and effort. From that day on, whenever Farmer Ben faced a challenge, he remembered to roll up his sleeves and take action, for adventure was always waiting for him!
