In the lively court of Emperor Akbar, colors twirled and laughter rang like bells. Suddenly, the tall doors swung open, and in rushed a wild-haired astronomer, his eyes glinting like stars. “Your Majesty!” he exclaimed, waving his arms like a bird flapping in a frenzy. “I’ve discovered something incredible! The Earth is ROUND! Just like a gigantic orange floating in the starry sea!”
Intrigued, Akbar leaned closer, “If someone travels in a straight line, would they come back to the same spot?”
“Absolutely, Your Majesty!” the astronomer replied, his excitement bubbling. “But it might take a long time... perhaps a century?” His smile faded slightly as uncertainty crept in.
Around the court, whispers fluttered like colorful butterflies. “Twenty-five years!” shouted one nobleman, puffing up his chest. “Fifty!” declared another, gesturing grandly. “Eighty days!” chimed a third, as if they had unearthed a treasure.
All eyes then turned to Birbal, sitting quietly in the corner, a sly smile dancing on his lips. He stood tall, confidence radiating from him like sunshine. “One day,” he proclaimed boldly.
Gasps echoed through the court. “ONE DAY?! That’s absurd!” shouted a nobleman, his eyebrows shooting up like startled birds. The room buzzed with disbelief until Emperor Akbar raised a hand, plunging them into silence.
“Birbal,” he said, curious. “Explain your idea.”
With a graceful nod, Birbal began, “Imagine if you could travel as fast as the Sun! You could circle the entire Earth in just one day!” His eyes sparkled with magic, captivating everyone.
The astronomer blinked, astonished. “He’s... technically correct,” he whispered, realization dawning like the morning sun.
Akbar’s laughter filled the palace, a melody of joy. “Birbal, you make the impossible sound so easy!”
The court erupted in cheers, celebrating not only Birbal’s cleverness but the delight of seeing things from a fresh angle, discovering that extraordinary answers often lie in the simplest thoughts.
