Hansel and Gretel

Magical Fairy Tales

A magical fairy tale filled with enchantment, bravery, and a lesson that sparkles forever.

Once upon a time, in a snug cottage at the edge of a magical forest, lived a kind woodcutter named Peter and his two lovely children, Hans and Gretel. They spent their days playing hide-and-seek among the sparkling trees, gathering firewood, and sharing cozy bedtime stories. But one frosty winter, when the snow glittered like fairy dust, a terrible hunger swept over the land. Peter's new wife, a mean and selfish woman, hatched a wicked plan. “We can’t feed four mouths! Let's abandon the children in the forest!” she sneered, her eyes shining with mischief.

Hans overheard the terrible idea and whispered to Gretel, "Don't worry! I have a plan!" That night, under the silver moon, Hans collected shiny white pebbles that twinkled like stars. The next day, as they wandered deeper into the enchanted woods, Hans dropped the pebbles, creating a magical trail. When their parents vanished, the children followed the sparkling path home, their hearts hopeful.

But their stepmother was furious! She locked the door tight, leaving Hans with only a crust of bread. The next day, Hans tried leaving breadcrumbs, but hungry birds swooped in and gobbled them all! Alone in the forest for three long days, Hans and Gretel finally found a house made of gingerbread, with windows that sparkled like candy jewels. Unable to resist, they nibbled on the sweet walls, but the house belonged to a wicked witch!

With a loud CLANG, the witch appeared, snatching Hans and locking him in a cage. "You’ll be my dinner!" she cackled. Poor Gretel had to cook big meals to fatten him up, but she was clever. One day, while the witch leaned over the oven, Gretel gave her a giant SHOVE! CLANG! The oven door slammed shut, trapping the witch inside! With a swift dash, she freed Hans, and together, they found a treasure chest filled with sparkling jewels!

Excited and giggling, they raced outside where a friendly white duck waddled up. “Hop on! I’ll take you over the river!” it quacked happily. They climbed on the duck's back and soared over the shimmering water. Finally, they ran through the forest until they caught the familiar scent of woodsmoke. When they reached their cottage, their father opened the door, tears of joy in his eyes. The wicked stepmother was gone, and now, with their treasure, they would never go hungry again.

Hans and Gretel hugged their father tightly, realizing that together, love and courage could lead them safely home.
