Ravi was a kind-hearted boy with a smile as bright as the sun, and his best friend was a playful mongoose named Momo. Momo's sparkly eyes twinkled like stars, and his tail swished joyfully whenever he was happy. Every evening, Ravi and Momo would sit on the porch, sharing secrets and dreaming of grand adventures in their magical world.
But Ravi had a secret that made his heart race with excitement. Near the shimmering river, hidden under a smooth rock, lived a snake with scales that glimmered like treasures. Ravi thought it was the most beautiful creature ever! Even though the snake was poisonous, Ravi was convinced they could have wonderful adventures together.
One day, Ravi’s wise teacher, Mr. Kumar, approached him with worry in his eyes. "Ravi," he said, "you must be careful! A snake like that can be very dangerous. Please, let it go before something terrible happens." But Ravi, puffing out his chest, declared, "But it loves me, Teacher! It would never hurt me!"
As autumn approached, the village buzzed with excitement for a grand fruit-picking adventure. In his haste, Ravi locked the snake in a bamboo cage without food or water. Days passed, and when Ravi returned home, he rushed to the cage, worry gnawing at him.
As he reached in to lift the snake out, it struck! The sharp bite sent a wave of heat through his body, and he stumbled back, his vision swirling like autumn leaves caught in the wind.
In that dizzy moment, he remembered Mr. Kumar's warning. The villagers rushed to help, their faces filled with fear and sadness. Mr. Kumar sat quietly, his heart heavy, as he reminded everyone that wisdom is only helpful when we listen and act on it.
From that day on, the children of the village learned to pause and listen, understanding the magic of good advice and the importance of caring for the world around them.
