Once upon a time, in a cheerful village where the sun sprinkled gold across the skies, there lived a boy named Felix. Felix was a bundle of joy, always giggling and chasing butterflies. He loved to spend his coins on delicious sweets, shiny toys, and exciting adventures with his friends. But one brisk spring morning, Felix woke up to a chilly breeze that made him shiver from head to toe. When he checked his pockets, they were empty! “Oh no!” he gasped. “I’ve spent all my coins!”
As he wandered through the village with a heavy heart, he spotted a brilliant Swallow soaring high in the sky. “Look at its shiny wings!” Felix cried, eyes wide. “Summer is coming!” He glanced down at his cozy, warm coat. “Why hold onto this when sunny days are on the way? I’ll sell it and buy sweets!”
With a happy skip, Felix found a buyer and waved goodbye to his coat, feeling proud. But soon, dark clouds rolled in, and the winds howled like a pack of wild wolves. Rain fell in chilly drops, drenching Felix as he shivered and shook. “Where’s summer?” he cried out, stamping his cold feet.
One day, he spotted the very Swallow he had seen before, tucked under a roof, shaking its feathers. Felix's heart sank. The Swallow looked just as cold as he felt! Suddenly, Felix understood. The sunshine was still waiting, and he had tossed away his warmth too soon.
With a heavy sigh, he realized he needed to be wiser. From that day on, Felix saved his coins and cherished what kept him cozy, waiting for the real warmth of summer to arrive. Every time he saw a Swallow, he smiled, knowing that it was important to hold onto what protects you until brighter days truly shine.
