In a bright and bustling town, there lived a clever merchant named Sagardatta, known for his sharp mind in business. Yet, he often sighed in frustration at his son, a dreamer who seemed to float through life like a dandelion in the wind. One sunny morning, the boy returned home, bursting with joy, carrying a huge bag that bulged like a balloon. “Father! Look what I’ve got!” he exclaimed, revealing a splendid book that shimmered in the sunlight.
Sagardatta’s eyebrows shot up. “What on earth did you spend so much money on?” he demanded. The son opened the book with a flourish, revealing just one line: “You get what is destined for you.” Sagardatta's face turned as red as a ripe tomato. “OUT! You’re a fool!” he shouted, sending his son out into the world. Heartbroken but brave, the boy took his magical book and wandered through busy streets and peaceful forests, repeating the line like a secret charm. Soon, everyone began to call him “Destined.”
One day, in a grand city, a princess fell in love with a gallant prince. But a mix-up led her love letter to Destined! With a heart racing like a galloping horse, he climbed a rope to her moonlit chamber. “I love you!” she whispered, her eyes sparkling. But when she lit a lamp, her expression changed. “Who are you?” she shouted, and with a mighty swoosh, she tossed him out the window! Down he landed with a soft thud in the garden.
That night, he found shelter in a cozy temple. Just as he began to doze off, a young woman mistook him for her true love and hurriedly married him! But when she lit a lamp, surprise washed over her face. “You are not him!” she cried, sending him flying once more! Just then, a runaway elephant charged into the celebration, trumpeting wildly. But Destined stood tall, grabbing a heavy iron nail. He faced the elephant bravely and led it away from the frightened crowd, saving the day!
The crowd cheered, and the grateful bride declared she would marry no one else. News of Destined’s bravery reached the king, who invited him to court. After hearing his tale, the king marveled at how fate had worked its magic and granted Destined wealth, honor, and the love of three wives all at once!
Sagardatta soon arrived, drawn by whispers of his son's astounding journey. When he read the one precious line in the book, he fell silent, realizing how destiny had woven its beautiful threads into their lives. They both learned to trust that, in the grand tapestry of life, what is meant to be will always find its way.
