In a land where the clouds swirled and danced, high up on a misty mountain, lived a little bird named Sindhuka. With her soft brown feathers and bright, twinkling eyes, she looked just like any other bird. But Sindhuka had a magical secret! Whenever she dropped a tiny gift from her perch, it turned into a shiny golden disk that sparkled like the sun.
Sindhuka loved her cozy home, singing sweet songs and watching the world below. No one ever climbed that high up the mountain, so her treasure remained a secret—until one sunny day. A weary hunter, tired from his long walk, plopped down beneath Sindhuka’s tree for a break. Suddenly, CLINK! A golden disk landed right beside him, shining like a star.
The hunter gasped, his eyes wide with surprise. "This is real gold!" he shouted, glancing up at Sindhuka, who was fluffing her feathers and blissfully unaware. A sneaky grin spread across his face. "If I catch her, I’ll be richer than a king!" He quickly set a clever trap with shiny bits of paper, and before Sindhuka knew it—SNAP! She was caught!
Carrying Sindhuka down the mountain, the hunter dreamed of wealth. When he reached the royal palace, he proudly presented her to the king, who marveled at the magical bird. "A bird that drops gold? How wonderful!" he exclaimed. But just then, an old minister with a wise beard stepped forward. "Your Majesty, this sounds like a silly tale. I think we should set her free," he suggested, stroking his beard.
Reluctantly, the king agreed, and the cage door swung open. Sindhuka burst out like a shooting star! Up to the top of the palace gate she flew, and with a triumphant flap, she dropped another golden disk. CLINK! The sound filled the hall, and everyone gasped in amazement.
"Catch that bird!" the king shouted, his face red with anger. But Sindhuka soared higher, flapping her wings against the cool breeze. Higher and higher she flew, until she was just a tiny speck in the bright blue sky. She flew far away to a secret place, where no traps could catch her.
With her heart full of joy and her wings spread wide, Sindhuka felt the thrill of freedom, knowing she would always be careful, soaring high above the clouds.
