The sun shone brightly over the royal court of Emperor Akbar, where the colorful banners danced in the gentle breeze. The grand hall buzzed with excitement, filled with courtiers chattering and laughing. At the center, Emperor Akbar sat on his dazzling golden throne, his magnificent mustache curling like the proud horns of a mighty bull. Today, he felt playful, and everyone could sense that something special was about to happen.
With a booming voice that rang like a bell, Akbar declared, "What should we do to anyone foolish enough to pull my royal mustache?" The court erupted in a flurry of wild suggestions. "Behead them!" shouted one courtiers, eyes wide like saucers. "One hundred lashes!" another cried, mimicking a whip with a dramatic CRACK! "Throw them in the dungeon forever!" pounded another, adding flair to his words.
But then, Akbar’s gaze fell upon Birbal, who stood quietly in the corner, a twinkle in his eye. "And you, dear Birbal? What punishment do you suggest?" the Emperor asked, raising an eyebrow. With a calm smile, Birbal replied, "Sweets, Your Majesty. Let us give them sweets!" A gasp rippled through the hall, as if a gust of wind had blown through the room.
"Sweets?! Have you lost your mind?" Akbar exclaimed, nearly jumping from his throne. Birbal remained serene. "Who would dare pull your mustache?" he asked. The courtiers looked puzzled. Then Birbal smiled wider, "Your beloved little grandson! When he tugs on your mustache, it’s not mischief; it’s love!"
Akbar’s fierce expression faded, replaced by warmth. He reached into his pocket, revealing a sparkling golden ring, and pressed it into Birbal’s hand. "You are not just clever; you are wise," he murmured.
With a joyful heart, Akbar called, "Bring my grandson! I feel like being a grandfather today!" Just then, a little boy with chubby cheeks and sparkling eyes ran into the hall. Akbar scooped him up, laughing, and in that moment, love filled the air. The court grew vibrant with laughter and joy, celebrating the beautiful bond between a grandfather and his beloved grandson.
