In a magnificent palace where golden treasures sparkled and courtiers bustled about, there lived a wise Emperor named Akbar. He was adored by the people, but one minister, Birbal, shone brighter than the rest. Birbal was known for his cleverness, which made the other courtiers grumble with jealousy.
One sunny morning, the courtiers marched into the court, their hearts racing with determination. "Your Majesty!" their leader proclaimed, puffing up like a proud peacock. "We have served you faithfully! Why is it always Birbal who receives the rewards? Let us prove ourselves!"
With a twinkle in his eye, Emperor Akbar replied, “Very well! Let’s have some fun with a challenge!” He summoned his guards to bring in a dazzling shawl made of the finest silk that shimmered like a rainbow. The Emperor reclined on a grand royal cot, his robes flowing like a river of jewels. “Cover me completely with this shawl!” he commanded, his voice booming with excitement.
The first courtier rushed in, eager to impress. He tossed the shawl over the Emperor's feet, but oh no! The Emperor’s toes peeked out like cheeky little rabbits! Frowning, the courtier yanked the shawl down, but the Emperor’s shoulders popped out like a stubborn cork! One by one, each courtier tried to cover the Emperor, pulling, tugging, and twisting, but every time, a part of him remained uncovered, as if playing a merry game of peek-a-boo!
Just when all seemed lost, Birbal entered, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. “What’s happening, dear friends?” he asked, feigning innocence. The courtiers explained their plight, frustration bubbling in their voices.
With a gentle smile, Birbal approached the Emperor. “Your Majesty, may I suggest a little twist?” he said playfully. The Emperor raised an eyebrow and bent his knees, curling up like a royal ball. Birbal deftly spread the shawl over him, and magically, it covered him completely! Every inch, every toe, snug beneath the soft fabric.
The courtiers gasped in shock, their mouths wide open like treasure chests. How did he do it? With a twinkling grin, Birbal turned to them. “Sometimes, it’s not about how big or strong we are, but how we use what we have!”
Akbar sat up, admiration shining in his eyes. “It’s not favoritism that gives Birbal his place,” he said warmly. “It’s his wisdom.” And with laughter echoing through the grand palace, the courtiers learned that within every limit lies the magic of finding a perfect solution, just waiting to be discovered!
