In a vibrant Mughal court, where colorful banners fluttered like butterflies and the sweet smell of mangoes filled the air, Emperor Akbar sat upon his sparkling golden throne, seeking a bit of fun. His courtiers whispered excitedly, wondering what playful trick their beloved emperor would think of next.
With a twinkle in his eye, Akbar turned to his clever minister, Birbal. "Tell me, dear Birbal," he challenged with a grin, "if I offered you a shiny gold coin or the finest justice in my kingdom, which would you choose?"
Without missing a beat, Birbal replied, "The gold coin!" The court fell silent, and gasps filled the room. The courtiers stared, their mouths agape. Akbar blinked in shock. "The gold coin? You surprise me, Birbal! Even the least clever among my servants would pick justice!"
The courtiers stifled giggles, waiting for the clever minister to explain himself. Akbar raised an eyebrow, intrigued yet stern. With a calm smile, Birbal leaned closer, "Your Majesty, one only wishes for what they lack. Justice flows like a sparkling river in our kingdom, reaching everyone, rich or poor. You have made sure of that! But gold coins... alas, I am quite short on those!"
A moment of silence passed, and then the court erupted with laughter! The walls echoed with joy, and even Akbar’s serious demeanor melted away as he chuckled heartily.
"Bring Birbal not one gold coin, but ONE THOUSAND!" he commanded, his voice booming like thunder. The laughter soared even higher, and Birbal beamed with happiness as he accepted his treasure.
The grand hall, now filled with cheer, reminded everyone that true treasures often come from the heart, where wisdom and justice shine brighter than gold.
