As Dorothy opened the door, her eyes widened in wonder. She was no longer in Kansas! Towering flowers swayed like friendly giants, and cheerful little people called Munchkins danced and sang. Right beneath her house sparkled two magical ruby slippers, shimmering like bright stars. They belonged to the Wicked Witch of the East, who was having a very bad day! “Put on these ruby slippers, dear Dorothy,” she said, sparkles twinkling all around her. “To get home, follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City. The great Wizard of Oz will help you!” Excited yet scared, Dorothy set off, Toto happily by her side.
